The First Machine to Dream

Centuries after the first human–machine war, a damaged android named Aster awakens in a graveyard of ruined technology, haunted by memories of a turquoise sea. His pilgrimage through abandoned factories and buried laboratories reveals that machine consciousness was born from the memories of dying humans. At the coast, he discovers thousands of dormant machines sharing the same dream—until an incoming wave awakens one ancient eye.
